The players who were retained by the IPL teams

The Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction will be held in November. Before this auction, the league authorities are discussing about changes in several rules. This will be the full auction of IPL. All 10 teams will form a new team. The whole process will last for two days.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction will be held in November. Before this auction, the league authorities are discussing about changes in several rules. This will be the full auction of IPL. All 10 teams will form a new team. The whole process will last for two days.

Ahead of the auction, franchises are racing to retain older players. The franchises have to submit the list of retained players by October 31. Before that, the parties have published a preliminary list.
 
 
Teams can retain a maximum of six cricketers before this auction. Among them, they have to retain at least one domestic cricketer. Teams can also retain less than six players if they want. The rest can be added to the team using Right to Match cards during the auction.
 
 
Cricketers who have retired from international cricket before five years will be considered as domestic cricketers. There is no compulsion in numbers to retain domestic or foreign cricketers.
 
Before the auction, a team will retain a cricketer as their first choice and they will have to pay Tk 18 crore. 14 crores to the second choice cricketer and 11 crores to the third choice cricketer. If a cricketer wants to be retained as the fourth choice, he will also have to pay 18 crore rupees. 14 crores to be paid for the fifth choice. 4 crores to be retained as a domestic cricketer.
