Bavuma is not in the first test, Brevis got the call

In place of Bavuma, the new ABD Villiers famous batsman Dewald Brevis has been called to the Bangladesh series team. The 21-year-old batsman, who was called up to the Test team for the first time, has played two T20 Internationals. He played well in 12 first-class matches and was included in the Test squad.

In Bavuma's absence, Aiden Markram will lead the first Test of the series starting on October 21 in Mirpur. Besides, Protea pacer Nandri Berger is injured. Lungi Ngidi has been called up in his place.


South Africa cricket team will come to Bangladesh on October 16. Before that, they will have a training camp in Pretoria on October 12-14. After playing the first Test of the series in Mirpur, the two teams will go to Chittagong to play the second and final Test on October 29. If all goes well, Shakib Al Hasan will retire after the Mirpur Test.
