Beware of Extra Profitable Offers
Each job has its own hourly payment rate. Fraudsters often try to lure freelancers with the lure of extra payments. For work that everyone else is paying $10 an hour for, scammers might promise $20 or even $50.
Almost 99 percent of these offers are fake.


Don't Pay to Get Work
Scams to extort bogus fees from workers by promising them work are extremely popular. Maybe it's training fees, the cost of buying a particular software, or safety fees. It should be remembered that there is no custom of getting work after paying such extra fee on freelance platform.


Don't transact off-platform
The escrow system keeps both customers and staff safe. The client won't pay for the work or the worker will run away with the advance—both problems are solved by the freelance platform's 'escrow system'. Fraudsters often offer 'paypal' or similar offers to avoid having to pay after the worker has done the work.


Payment first, work later
In many cases clients want to see a portfolio of previous work. That's normal. However, only fraudsters ask for free samples before giving the job. After sampling their desired work, they will let someone else know that the work has been given to them.
After getting a paid job, one must check whether they have escrow the full budget of the job before accepting it. Half now, the rest after the job is done—an offer like that is cheating.


It is not possible to work without value
without exposure or buying equity. Therefore, no reward other than money should be accepted in return for work. In this way fraudsters are doing one job after another for free through freelancers.
