On Saturday (October 12) evening, various fish sellers of the Barguna Municipal Fish Market conducted miking.

Barguna fish market can be seen on the surface, 7 to 8 fish sellers have gathered at a designated place of fish shrine. Different sizes of hilsa are kept in front of them for sale. Mikeing is being done by announcing a reduction in the price to sell this fish before the ban begins. In this, the price of hilsa per kg of small size has increased to Tk 500, which was sold earlier at Tk 600 to Tk 700.


And hilsa weighing 700 to 800 grams is being sold at 1400 taka, which was previously sold at 1600 to 1700 taka. Besides, the sale of hilsa weighing more than one kg is being miked at 1800 taka per kg, which was previously sold from 2000 to 2200 taka.

Most of the trawlers from the sea have returned to the wharf due to the ban on fishing. Due to the increase in the supply of hilsa in the market, the sellers are selling hilsa at low prices.

Incidentally, the ban on fishing will start from midnight on Saturday (October 12). At this time, hilsa transportation, buying and selling, storage and exchange has been completely banned across the country. This ban will continue till November 3.
