Jumbangla Desk: At least 20 BNP leaders were injured in the Awami League's attack on the occupation of the club in Bhangura, Pabna. One of them has been sent to Dhaka and three to Pabna for better treatment. Others are under treatment at Upazila Health Complex.

The attack took place on Saturday (October 12) evening in Pukurpar village of Khanmarich union of the upazila.

Police have detained four people for questioning in this incident. At night, Bhangura upazila executive officer Nazmun Nahar, OC Shafiqul Islam and army personnel came to see the injured at the hospital.

It is known that there is a social organization called Uday Sangh in Pukurpar village. The number of members of the organization is more than hundred.

Abdus Salam Fakir, president of the organization and local BNP leader, has the keys to the office of this organization for quite some time. Recently, Awami League's union committee advisor Faizul Karim, local Awami League leaders Sanwar Hossain, Ahmed Ali, Abdur Razzak and Pukurpar Ideal High School headmaster Roshan Ali Salam are asking for keys from Fakir. But Salam Fakir says the key is with Helal, a member of the club.

In this situation, Salam Fakir called Helal on Saturday evening and gave the key to the workers of the Awami League leader.

After that, hundreds of activists led by Awami League leaders Faizul, Sanwar, Razzak, Roshan and Ahmed Ali attacked Abdus Salam and his people with domestic weapons. 20/22 BNP leaders were seriously injured.
When several Awami League leaders of Pukurpar village were called to take a statement on this issue, they did not receive the call.

However, Awami League leader and UP member of neighboring Sreepur village Jinnah Ali said, I heard that there was a clash between the two sides over the keys of the club and money. 20-25 people were injured and are undergoing treatment in hospital.

Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bhangura police station, said that the attack took place with the keys of the club. Four of the attackers have been detained and are being interrogated.

Upazila Executive Officer Nazmun Nahar said that the injured are being given proper treatment at the Upazila Health Complex. Apart from this, seriously injured have been sent to Pabna and Dhaka for better treatment. Later the matter will be further investigated and legal action will be taken.
