However, the beef and beef market is stable.

On Friday (October 11) this information was obtained by visiting different markets of Rajshahi city and talking to buyers and sellers. On this day, raw chilli was sold in the market at Tk 440 to Tk 450 per kg, which was Tk 120 to Tk 130 three weeks ago. Even compared to last week, the price of green chillies has increased by Tk 100 per kg.

Domestic onion was sold at the price of Tk 120 per kg in Rajshahi market on Friday. Imported onion was Tk 100 per kg. Potatoes are being sold at Tk 60 per kg.

Apart from beans, carrots and tomatoes, all other vegetables in the market have exceeded Tk 100 per kg. And among these three vegetables, carrot and tomato were sold at Tk 200 per kg, beans at Tk 160 per kg.

Among the remaining vegetables, a kg of brinjal has exceeded Tk 120. Karla 80, Patal 80, Dheras-Dhundul-Jhinga 80 to 100 Tk. Papaya is Tk 80 per kg, Cucumber Tk 120, Kachurmukhi Tk 100 and Chichinga Tk 80 per kg. Gourd sold at 60 taka per piece, gourd at 100 taka per piece, sweet pumpkin at 70 taka per kg. Puishak was sold at 80 taka and red vegetables at 60 taka. Spinach and jute bundles were sold for Tk 20 to Tk 30.


This time again the vendors gave the excuse of rain and Durga Puja. They say that the demand for vegetables has increased during Durga Puja. But because of the rains, the supply in the market is less. So the price went up.

In the market, broiler chicken is sold at Tk 200, golden chicken at Tk 280 and domestic chicken at Tk 500-550 per kg. Apart from this, ducks were sold at Tk 400 per kg. Beef is sold at Tk 750 and goat meat at Tk 1050 to 1100 per kg.

The prices of fish and meat are the same as before, but the price of eggs has increased, the sellers said. This week, white eggs were sold at 52 taka, red eggs at 56 taka.

As before, Rui-Katla was sold at Tk. 300 to Tk. 650 per kg depending on the size, shrimps were sold at Tk. 500 to Tk. 10400 per kg depending on the size and quality. Tangra 600 to 1200 taka, kachki and mala 500 to 700 taka, horn fish 500 to 700 taka, magur 600 taka, kai fish 400 to 600 taka and pabda were sold at taka 400-500 per kg. Among the less expensive fish, tilapia was sold at Tk 180 to Tk 250, koi fish Tk 400 to Tk 600, silver carp Tk 250 to Tk 300 and pangas at Tk 300 per kg in the Friday market.
