Doha-Nawabganj (Dhaka) Correspondent: Leaders of upazila anti-discrimination student movement visited various puja mandapas of Dohar upazila of Dhaka district with the message of building 'non-communal Bangladesh'. They visited every temple and spoke to the leaders of the temple committee to assure the Hindu devotees of the smooth celebration of the festival from the day the puja began. At the same time, the students formed several teams separately and performed their duties in the union-based temples. Anti-discrimination student movement coordinators work in coordination with Scouts members to decongest traffic at important points around the festival. They performed this duty in coordination with the local administration.

Russell Ahmed and AR Shipon spoke on behalf of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement at the Sharad festival in Latakhola-Charjoypara temple, one of the Dohar upazilas. They said, no one will be given the opportunity to attack religion. People of all religions including Hindus and Muslims are Bangladesh. Everyone will live in Bangladesh with their own rights. We are all Bangladeshis. We all have to be vigilant so that the Kuchkri Mahal does not cause any untoward incident around this festival.

They also said, along with our sense of responsibility, we are working on security and traffic congestion to help the local administration. If everyone is united, all conspiracies will be foiled in this country.

Several coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement of Dohar Upazila were present at the time.
