On Saturday (October 12) afternoon, the BGB patrol team found him wandering inside Bangladesh 50 yards from the Indian border pillar 2050/8-S in Putia area of ​​the upazila.


BGB 60 Battalion Commander Lt Col AM Jaber Bin Jabbar said Kibria Majumder was trying to enter India illegally without a passport. During the interrogation, it was revealed that he served as joint secretary under the former Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad, Shireen Sharmin Chowdhury, and was allegedly involved in various activities to suppress the anti-discrimination student movement.

He said that preparations are underway to initiate legal proceedings against him.
