They blocked the highway in Chakraborty area of the district on Saturday (October 12) around 12 noon. Later, army patrol reached the spot and removed the workers from the road.
It is known that in the morning, the workers of Beximco Industrial Park, located in Sarabo area under Kashimpur police station of the metropolis, blocked the Dhaka-Tangail highway to demand the outstanding salary for the month of September. It stopped the traffic. As a result common passengers suffer.
