Deceased Swapan Kumar Bhadra (70) Vice President of Tarakanda Press Club. He was earlier working in Dainik Swajan newspaper published from Mymensingh. Currently, it is known that he was not working in any media. However, he used to write on various subjects.

According to the local police, journalist Swapan was sitting in front of his house in the morning. At that time, a young man named Sagar Mia ambushed with a stick. First he cut his wrists and separated them, then cut his neck and seriously injured him. Locals rescued him and took him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.


In this incident, a person named Sagar Mia was arrested by the police. He is the son of Babul Mia from the same area. Kotwali Model Police Station OC Sofiqul Islam said that the arrested Sagar is a drug addict.

OC said that journalist Swapan Bhadra often protested that drugs should not spread in the area. He also used to write on Facebook. The sea got angry and killed him.
