313 platoons of BGB have been deployed for the overall security of about 2000 pujamandaps located within 8 km of the border across the country on the occasion of the celebration of Sharadiya Durga Puja, the main religious festival of Hindus.

4 platoon BGB members are on duty round the clock for the overall security of temples or pujamandap in capital Dhaka.

He said that a total of 313 platoons of BGB have been deployed for the overall security of about 2,000 pujamandaps located within 8 kilometers of the border across the country for the security of autumn Durga Puja.

89 platoons of BGB have been deployed by setting up 88 beige camps at convenient places around the Pujamandap so that the BGB members can reach the Pujamandap within 15-30 minutes to deal with any untoward situation. 2 additional platoons of BGB members are kept on standby in each battalion.

Also, 4 platoons of BGB members are on duty all the time under the supervision of Dhaka sector of BGB for overall security of temples or pujamandap in the capital Dhaka.
