There is discussion about the dissolution of BNP's Dhaka North Committee. The two top leaders of this committee were accused of extortion and collusion with businessmen for personal interests in the party circles. However, despite accepting the party's decision, they rejected these allegations.

Party organizing secretary Shama Obaid and Krishak Dal's central general secretary Shahidul Islam Babul have been suspended after the killing of a worker in an internal conflict in Faridpur's Nagarkanda.

In another complaint, the party's Barisal divisional organizing secretary Bilkis Jahan Shirin's party post has been suspended.

After the expulsion, a case has also been filed by the party against BNP leader Fakhruddin Ahmed Bachchu of Mymensingh.

According to the information received from the central office of the party, BNP has so far taken action against more than 1000 leaders of various levels on various charges including extortion, encroachment. Of these, more than four hundred leaders have been expelled. At least twenty people have been suspended.

Abdul Latif Masum, a political analyst and former professor of Government and Politics Department of Jahangirnagar University, says that the culture of extortion and usurpation which has been in the political arena of Bangladesh for a long time has been exposed after this change of pot.

He said, until now, everything was under the control of Awami League people. BNP people have endured fifteen years of oppression and deprivation. That is why they may not have come to power, but with the departure of Awami League, their authority has come. However, I see the party's high command taking action on some incidents from the beginning, which is positive.

Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, a member of BNP Chairperson's Advisory Council, says that the policy-making stage of the party is being carefully monitored and action is being taken against anyone who is involved in any incident.
