Mohammadpur robbery: Out of 8 arrested, five are dismissed members of various forces

This information was informed by the force on Sunday (October 13).


According to RAB, 5 of those arrested are dismissed members of various law enforcement agencies. The remaining three are civilians. Investigation is going on whether RAB was involved in the incident or not. However, the names of those arrested are not yet known.

RAB also said that Tk 7 lakh in cash, some gold ornaments and a microbus used in the robbery were seized in the operation.


Earlier, a dacoity case was registered at Mohammadpur police station on Saturday (October 12) night. 25 to 30 unidentified accused in the case.


Incidentally, last Friday (October 11) late night, a gang of robbers wearing army and RAB uniforms entered a house near Tin Rasta Mor in Mohammadpur. At one stage they looted cash, gold ornaments from that house.

 


In a CCTV footage released in the media, some robbers dressed as army and RAB entered the house. Then they went up the stairs. At that time they had masks on their faces.
