A procession will be taken out from the Dhakeshwari National Temple today before the desecration of the idol. The probable route of the funeral procession is from Dhakeshwari National Temple to Palashi Mor – Jagannath Hall – Central Shaheed Minar – Doel Chatwar – High Court Battala – Government Employees Hospital – Police Headquarters – Nagar Bhavan – Golapshah Shrine – Bangabandhu Square – Gulisthan – Nawabpur Level Crossing – Nawabpur Road – Mansi Hall Crossing – Rathkhola Crossing – Raisaheb Bazar Crossing – Shankharibazar – Jagannath University – Sadarghat Bata Crossing – Patuatuli Crossing / Sadarghat Terminal Crossing and ends at Wiseghat.


Along with normal security, traffic police will also be deployed on the occasion of Vijaya procession and idol worship. Three control rooms have been set up at Dhakeshwari National Temple, Palashi Mor and Bahadur Shah Park area. Three watch towers have been installed at Palashir Mor, Roy Saheb Bazar and Wise Ghat. Besides, dog squad, bomb disposal unit, crime scene team and SWAT team will be ready round the clock.


Yesterday Saturday was Mahanavami. Devotees worship Goddess Durga in Mandap Mandap through prescribed pooja and darpan on Navami Tithi. On this day from 6 o'clock in the morning Navami Bihit Puja. Ahuti is offered to Goddess Durga through Yajna with 108 Bel leaves, Amkath, Ghee.


Meanwhile, as the moment of abandonment approached, there was a farewell tone among all. This time due to the Tithi, after the Mahanavami Puja, the prescribed Puja and Darpan Bisarjan were held on Dashami. On Dashami Puja, idols are worshiped with jara, betel leaves, and betel leaves. After the ritual of puja, the devotees indulged in the sindoor game. At the end of the evening aarti, in the worship of the goddess, Bishad tunes start playing in every pujamandap.

 


The countdown for this year's Durgotsava started on October 2 through Mahalaya. Durgotsava ceremony starts from that day. After this, the five-day Durgotsavam which started last Wednesday from Shashti, will end today Sunday with the dedication of idols. This year, autumn Durga Puja is celebrated in 31 thousand 461 pavilions across the country. Among them, Puja was held in 252 pavilions in Dhaka.
