Zakir Naik discussed the rights of third gender people in ancestral property in response to questions from the audience at an open discussion event in Pakistan recently. A video of the discussion was released on his verified Facebook page on Friday (October 11).

Dr. Zakir Naik said, every child is born with its gender identity. Some people have birth defects that make it difficult to identify their gender identity naturally. But through medical examination it is possible to know their dominant sex or strong sexual characteristics. According to it, a person of the dominant sex male of the third gender, as a son, will share in his father's wealth like any other son. A third gender person whose dominant sex is female, as a daughter will share in the father's wealth like other girls.

Transgender and the third gender are not the same and trying to change gender is forbidden in Islam, Dr. clarified. Zakir Naik. He said, transgenders are those who try to change their gender. After being born as a boy wants to become a girl, after being born as a girl tries to become a boy. Such gender change is not legal in Islam.
