Jumbangla Desk: Farnaz Karim Shreya, a meritorious student of Shaistaganj Islami Academy of Habiganj district, won silver in the Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition organized by Royal Commonwealth. He won the junior category in the online essay competition titled 'Conversation Under the Sea Waves: A Call to Save the Sea'.

On September 24, Shreya received an official email from the organizers of the competition along with the award certificate. Shreya received the recognition for a logical description in a 650 word essay.

Islami Academy head teacher Nurul Haque said that 34 thousand 939 students from 172 countries participated in this competition. Among them, Malaysia's student got the first place and Ugandan student got the 2nd place and Bangladeshi student Farnaz Karim Shreya got the 3rd place.

Shreya has previously participated in various competitions of the country and achieved success.

About her feelings, Shreya says, I am thankful to everyone who supported me in this competition. This competition has taught me a lot. This recognition is an honor for me. I want to be the best in future commonwealth essay competition.
