The fire happened on Sunday (October 13) around 9 am. However, it is not known how the fire started.
It is known that the smoke of the fire has spread throughout the building. Fire service, Ansar members and hospital officials are working to rescue the patients inside the building.

Confirming the matter, Assistant Director of Barisal Fire Service and Civil Defense Helal Uddin told the media that we are working to control the fire. Cotton kept in that room of the medicine unit caught fire, causing heavy smoke. Evacuation of patients to safety is underway.
