Jumbangla Desk: This year's HSC and equivalent exam results will be published on October 15. This time in seven subjects marks were evaluated but in 13 subjects results were generated through subject mapping. Although 'autopass' was given in 13 subjects, nearly lakhs of students are burning their foreheads due to missing the exam.

It is known that 96 thousand 997 people were absent in the examinations held under 9 General Boards, Madrasas and Technical Education Boards. And 297 people were fired. Absence or expulsion from the examination as per rules results in overall failure. As a result, the foreheads of almost lakhs of students are burning.

In this regard, Inter-Education Board Coordination Sub-Committee President and Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Chairman Prof. Tapan Kumar Sarkar told The Daily Campus, 'Not just absenteeism or expulsion; Those who fail to get pass marks in the seven examinations held will also fail in their results.'

According to the sources of Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, the HSC and equivalent examinations started on June 30. 15 thousand 203 people were absent in the first day of examination. On this day, 49 students were expelled on the charge of malpractice in the examination.

10 thousand 440 are absent in HSC second day exam in general board. Besides, 3 thousand 269 students of Madrasa Board and 1 thousand 384 students of Technical Education Board were absent in the examination. According to the information, this time the total number of HSC or equivalent candidates is 1.45 lakh. After the seven examinations, the movement to reform the quota system in government jobs spread. In this situation, the examination was postponed several times. Six subject exams were left till then. Apart from this, the practical exam is also left. At one point, the quota reform movement took the form of a round of government collapse.

Sheikh Hasina's government fell on August 5 in a student uprising. Later it was decided that the exam will be conducted in the new schedule from August 11. It didn't happen though. According to education board sources, police stations in various areas were attacked on the day of the ouster of the Awami League government. The question paper trunk kept at the police station was damaged. In this situation, instead of August 11, it was decided to hold the postponed exams from September 11. But many of the candidates joined the movement. They claimed that the suspension of the examination for an indefinite period under the prevailing circumstances has put them under stress. So the remaining tests have to be cancelled. At one stage the postponed exams were canceled in the face of agitation.
