Jumbangla Desk: Today is World Egg Day. Egg Day is celebrated globally on the second Friday of October every year as decided by the International Egg Commission.

This day is being celebrated by public and private organizations with the slogan 'Eggs are nutrition, eggs are power, eggs are disease-free'.

On the occasion of the day, the Directorate of Livestock, Bangladesh Poultry Industries Central Council and WAPSA-BB have taken a joint initiative to celebrate the World Egg Day at Rajdhani Krishibid Institution.

Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhtar will be present as the chief guest on the occasion. Fisheries and Livestock Ministry Secretary Syed Mahmud Belal Haider and Wapsa-BB, Bangladesh President Mosiur Rahman will be present as special guests.

Director General of Directorate of Livestock Mohammad Rayazul Haque will preside over the event.
