Government offices and courts were closed for four consecutive days due to puja and weekend. Offices, courts, banks, insurance, financial institutions and stock markets have started opening at the scheduled time from the morning of Monday (October 14) after the holiday.

According to the official holiday calendar, Sunday (October 13) is a public holiday. And October 11 and 12 Friday and Saturday are weekends. Government employees got a total of four days off for Durga Puja, which was added to the list on Thursday.

Meanwhile, schools and colleges will be closed for 9 days on the occasion of Durga Puja, Fateha-e-Yazdaham, Lakshmi Puja and Prabarana Purnima. However, including weekends, the holiday has been extended to 11 days.

According to the Education Ministry's annual calendar, the autumn Durga Puja holiday begins on Wednesday (October 9) and will continue till Thursday (October 17). However, since the next two days are Friday and Saturday, the educational institution will open next Sunday (October 20). Among them, Vijaya Dasami holiday will be on October 13, Fateha e Yazdaham holiday on October 15, Lakshmi Puja and Prabarana Purnima holiday on October 16.
