He said this in response to a question from journalists at the check handing over ceremony to those injured in the student uprising.

Asif Mahmud said that cases are being filed against the agitators in different places. But there is no chance of taking any legal action against them. Instructions will soon be issued from the Ministry of Home Affairs in this regard, so that no action is taken against the agitators anywhere.

Warning the policemen involved in the massacre, he said, no matter how powerful the policemen involved in killing the protestors are, they will not be spared.

Earlier, a donation check was handed over by July Martyr Smriti Foundation at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Sunday.

In reference to the case regarding the death and injury in the coup, the information advisor said that a legal team is working on the matter. We will complete the proceedings in the Special Tribunal. Those who were martyred and injured in the mass uprising are the heroes of the country. Leaders and activists of various parties gave their lives in the movement, we recognize their sacrifice. We request that we do not divide the martyrs and the injured by any faction or banner. We should not use them for political gain.

Nahid Islam said financial donations are being given to the injured and killed in the movement from Shahid Smriti Foundation. The matter is ongoing.

The secretary of the foundation, Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdh, presented to the journalists the account of money given to the injured people by the foundation so far. Today a total of 122 people have been given 1 crore 22 lakh 64 thousand 400 taka 1 lakh. Out of this, 23 out of 30 people under treatment at Dhaka Medical College have been given a check of 1 lakh taka. The remaining seven have been paid today by BKash. Apart from this, 33 people undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Ophthalmology and 59 people at the National Orthopedic Hospital and Rehabilitation Institute (Pangu Hospital) have been given money through development.

So far, a total of Tk 1 crore 71 lakh 42 thousand 50 has been donated to 176 injured people from July Martyr Smriti Foundation.
