Hajiganj Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rifat Jahan told Jugantar that from October 13 to November 3, a ban has been imposed on catching and selling hilsa. On the first day, three businessmen of Hajiganj market were fined 9 thousand taka while selling hilsa fish. At this time, 195 kg of hilsa fish was seized and distributed to various orphanages.
