The injured Gopal Chandra Shahi is the son of deceased Moni Halder of Masjid area. He is a fisherman by profession. He lives alone at home. No son, three daughters are married. Gopal Chandra is under treatment after surgery at Ramek Hospital at night. However, it is said that he is not risk free.

Salon owner Jiban Das (32), son of Khagen Das of Bothar village in the upazila, has been accused of having committed the incident. However, no one could say why this attempted murder happened. Residents of the area believe that they had a dispute before.

Eyewitnesses said Gopal Chandra entered the salon during the incident. At that time, the glass door of the shop was blocked from inside. After three or four minutes, the people around came forward after hearing the shouting and fighting from inside.

Later, Gopal Chandra was rescued and taken to Upazila Health Complex in a bloody state. The doctor sent him to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital as his condition worsened there.

Asif Uddin Khan, a doctor in the emergency department of the health complex, said that many parts of the injured person's throat were cut deeply. Bleeding profusely. He could not stop the bleeding with stitches. For this reason he was sent to Rajshahi. His condition is critical.
