Based on a survey of 1,200 people in eight divisions of the country, the United Nations says that the recent floods have put pressure on agriculture and the economy. Many people have become unemployed. 30 percent of the population is not able to provide enough food. And in the case of low income people, this rate is about 36 percent.
 
29 percent of the people of the country are trying to deal with this situation by reducing food expenses.
 
 
According to the United Nations survey, 42 percent of people have to borrow at various times to buy food. And 26 percent of people have reduced health expenses while meeting the cost of buying food. In addition, 17 percent are forced to break savings. 15 percent people have to depend on various types of assistance.
 
Public health experts fear that the prevalence of malnutrition and diseases in the country will increase due to the continuation of food insecurity. As a result, the child's physical and mental development is also hindered.
 
 
 
According to the latest government data, 18 percent of the country's population is below the poverty line. And food insecurity is the most among these people.
