Jumbangla Desk: RAB has rescued eight-month-old baby Saifan who was stolen from Aganagar area of ​​Dakshin Keraniganj police station of Dhaka district. Tanjila Akhter Parveen (35) was arrested for allegedly stealing Saifan. RAB-10 Assistant Media Officer Senior Assistant Police Officer (ASP) Tapas Karmakar confirmed the rescue of baby Saifan on Monday (October 14).

He said that Sakila Enam and Enamul Haque Majumdar, residents of Aganagar area of ​​Dakshin Keraniganj police station, have three sons. Last October 12, Tanjila came to the house of the child's mother Sakila and told about her helplessness and begged her to give shelter to work at home in exchange for food and lodging. After hearing about her helplessness, in good faith, considering the humanitarian aspect, sheltered Tanjila. The next day, on October 13, at around 11 o'clock, when Sakila's mezzo son Ahnaf (6) cried for ice cream, Tanzila took Ahnaf and Sakila's younger son Saifan to a shop near their house to get ice cream.

After some time, Ahnaf goes home alone with ice cream and Ahnaf's mother Sakila asks where Tanjila and Saifan are. Ahnaf tells his mother that Parveen buys Ahnaf ice cream and says you go home I am bringing Saifan. After waiting for a long time, Sakila searched all the possible places around without finding any trace of Tanjila and Saifan and started searching in different places without finding them. After a lot of searching, when there is no trace of Saifan, Sakila realizes that Parveen has kidnapped Saifan. Later Sakila her husband filed a case against Tanjila at Dakshin Keraniganj police station in Dhaka.

Tapas Karmakar said that already the issue of abduction has created a lot of sensation in various social media. After learning about the matter, a team of RAB-10 rushed to the field to quickly rescue the abducted victim Saifan. In continuation of this, a joint operation was conducted in Charlakshi Narayan area of ​​Palong police station of Shariatpur district on the basis of intelligence information of RAB-10 with the cooperation of RAB-8. Tanjila Akhter Parveen (35), who kidnapped 8, was arrested in the operation.

During initial interrogation, Tanjila confessed to abducting baby Saifan. According to him, the child Saifan Mazumder was rescued from a house at the scene.

During the interrogation, the accused told RAB that the accused Tanjila has no parents. About 12 years ago, Tanjila got married to a man in Mymensingh. That husband had another wife in the house. After staying in the same family with Sateen for some time, Tanjila divorced her husband due to childlessness. Later, Parveen got married again to Ashraful Alam, an expatriate living in a rented house in Aganagar area of ​​South Keraniganj police station of Dhaka district. Ashraful was also married, his first wife was insane and had a disabled son at home who was being looked after by Tanjila.

The arrested person also said that after a few months of marriage, because Tanjila did not have a child, there were frequent quarrels in their family. Then when Ashraful went abroad, after a few days Tanjila told Ashraful that she was pregnant and Ashraful was very happy. Later, after a few years, Ashraful decided to come to the country and told his wife about it. If Ashraful finds out in the country that Tanjila lied to Ashraful about her pregnancy, then her family will be broken again. So he takes the heinous decision of kidnapping a child aged 8 to 10 months.

Tanjila knew everything about Saifan from before as she was a tenant neighbor of Sakila, the mother of baby Saifan. So he plans to kidnap Saiphan himself. He then goes to Sakila's house as per the plan and fakes helplessness to Sakila, takes advantage of Sakila's simplicity and first takes shelter in her house and later kidnaps Saifan.

The official said that legal action against the arrested accused is under process.
