Jumbangla Desk: The ordeal of making a General Diary (GD) to renew a lost National Identity Card (NID) is ending.

Citizens will soon be able to print lost NID directly online without a copy of GD. In this case, the card can be withdrawn only after submitting the specified fee online from Bikash.

This was confirmed by Mohammad Ariful Islam, System Analyst Engineer of NID.

He told the media that the software is being worked on, after a week NID can be downloaded directly from online without a copy of GD. This proposal has been initiated by the NID Wing after the approval of the Secretary Sir.

This official said that the new decision has been taken after complaints that citizens have to suffer while doing GD.
