Jumbangla Desk: The government has banned the departure of Assistant Secretary Taapsee Tabassum Urmi, who was sacked for calling martyr Abu Saeed a 'terrorist' and making controversial comments about the interim government on Facebook.

On Monday (October 14), the Ministry of Public Administration sent a letter to the Senior Secretary of the Security Services Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Taapsee Tabassum Urmi, Assistant Commissioner (Assistant Secretary) of Lalmonirhat District Commissioner's office was earlier transferred as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Public Administration Ministry on October 6 due to her controversial comments on Facebook. He was suspended on October 7.
The letter banning him from leaving the country said that he has been temporarily suspended from his job for making objectionable statements against the current government under his social media Facebook ID 'Tapashee Tabassum Urmi'. Departmental proceedings against him are ongoing.
The profit will be deposited in the current month as public pension
The letter sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs requested him to take necessary measures as he was barred from leaving the country.
