5 lives were lost in a collision between two buses in Faridpur this morning

The accident took place at Mallikpur area of ​​Kanaipur Union of the upazila around 4 am on Tuesday (October 15).


Karimpur Highway Police OC Mohammad Salauddin Chowdhury confirmed the matter.

The names of the victims were not immediately known.

It is known that the accident took place in a head-on collision between two buses, namely Jhenaidah Paribahan and Jhenaidah bound Green Express from Dhaka to Jhenaidah.

Karimpur Highway Police Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Salauddin Chowdhury said that efforts are underway to identify the names and identities of all the victims. The two buses involved in the accident were recovered and kept at the Karimpur Highway Police Station.
