Mirpur-10 metro station has been commissioned since Tuesday (October 15) morning. Managing Director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited Mohammad Abdur confirmed this to the media.

During the quota reform movement, on July 18, unidentified persons went on rampage at Mirpur-10 and Kazipara metro stations. After that, the metro rail service stopped for more than a month.

The then Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that it will not be possible to open the metro stations even in a year.

However, Metro Rail operations resumed on August 25 with two stations closed. Metrorail authorities reopened Kazipara station on September 20.
