Fateha-e-Yazdahm is held on the 11th of Rabius Suni, the 11th month of the Hijri calendar. The word 'Fateha' means making a special prayer or supplication for the soul of the deceased, and 'Yazdaham' means 11. Hence, Fateha-e-Yazdaham is the Fateha or supplication made on the 11th day of his death anniversary.

On this day, the Muslim community, especially those who believe in the Sufi order, recite the Quran, perform various prayers and supplications in honor of Hazrat Jilani (RA).
