Jumbangla Desk: 2 people died due to excessive alcohol consumption in Charbhangura village of Bhangura upazila of Pabna. In this incident, three more people were admitted to the hospital. They died on Monday (October 14) night. The deceased are Rabin Ghosh (25) son of Ramchandra Ghosh and Hriday Chowdhury (17) son of Manik Chowdhury of Char Bhangura village of the upazila.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhangura police station. Shafiqul Islam has confirmed the death of two people who fell ill due to alcohol consumption.

According to the locals, five youths of Ghoshpara of Charbhangura village of the upazila fell ill after drinking too much alcohol with their friends after the Durga Puja festival. They are friends of each other. They were first admitted to Bhangura Upazila Health Complex. Hriday Chowdhury died on the way to the hospital. And when Robin Ghosh was taken to Pabna General Hospital, the doctor on duty there declared him dead.

Dr. Bhangura Upazila Health Complex emergency department medical officer. Ujjal Hossain said, we have received news that two people died. Three seriously ill people have been referred to Pabna General Hospital.
