Hathurusinghe sacked by BCB, new coach Simmons

BCB president Farooq Ahmed said in a press conference at BCB on Tuesday afternoon that Hathurusinghe has been dismissed with a show cause notice on some matters. BCB chief announced the name of Phil Simmons as the new coach. BCB has a contract with this Caribbean until the next Champions Trophy.

The contract was valid until February 2025. However, Hathurusinghe was dismissed this time without fulfilling the term as per the contract.
