The former councilor of Gazipur City Corporation (Gasik) Ward No. 47 Sadek Ali and General Secretary of Tongi Thana Awami League Rajab Ali have been arrested by the police.

They were arrested in a sabotage case filed by the anti-discrimination student movement.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Tongi East Police Station Qaiser Ahmad confirmed this information at 1 pm on Tuesday.

According to the police, Sadek Ali, former councilor of Ghasik and his brother Awami League leader Rajab Ali, were accused in a sabotage case filed at the capital's Uttara Purva police station during the anti-discrimination student movement. Tongi East Police Station arrested them from Morkun T&T area of ​​Tongi on Tuesday afternoon.

Later, two of them were brought to the police station. In the afternoon, the police said that the arrested would be sent to court.
