RAB has arrested Tariqul Islam Tuku (45), the main accused in the murder case of Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Naeem Uddin Sentu in Daulatpur of Kushtia. He was arrested from Gobindpur area of Pabna on Monday night.

The deceased Sentu was the chairman of Philipnagar Union Parishad. He is the son of the deceased Matleb Sarkar of that area.
On September 30, around 11:30 PM, Centaur was shot dead by miscreants in his office due to dominance and prior enmity. Ahsan Habib, the victim's son, filed a murder case at Daulatpur Police Station as the plaintiff in this incident on October 1. In this case, 8 to 10 people have been named as unknown accused, including 10 people named in the case, making Tuku the main planner and main accused of the murder.
The absconding accused in the case are Sohag Hossain alias Gittu (22), Roshan (23), Russell (27), Lalon (26), Naeem (22), Shamser Ali Gittu (23), Al Amin (20) of Filipnagar area of Daulatpur Upazila of Kushtia. , Himmel (27) and Iraq (30).
According to local sources, at one time Sentu Upazila was the vice president of BNP. Later, he developed a friendship with former local Awami League MP A. K. Sarwar Jahan. Later he became inactive in BNP politics.
