The arrested are Sagar Rajaram Koli (23) son of deceased Rajaram Koli of Tanjgao area of ​​Sangli Bombay district of India and Liton Debnath (36) son of Avni Debnath of Noahati village of Habiganj Sadar Upazila, a Bangladeshi national.

BGB 25 battalion captain Lt. Colonel Farah Mohammad Imtiaz said, one person was going to India, another one came from India. A patrol of BGB Fakirmora BOP intercepted them from a place called Hirapur near Border Pillar 2022/5-S.

The interrogation of the detainees revealed that Sagar Rajaram Koli, an Indian citizen, came to Bangladesh illegally one year and two months ago and was engaged in the work of a goldsmith in Narayanganj. He was on his way back to India with the help of local human trafficking broker and Vijay Mia (28), son of Hefju Mia of Hirapur village, and Parvez (28), son of Armaan Ali.

Besides, Bangladeshi citizen Liton Debnath went to visit a brother's house in Agartala, India on the occasion of Durga Puja through Chunarughat border last 10 days. Application form for generation of India Aadhaar card is available from detained Indian citizen. They were handed over to Akhaura police station and a case was registered against the facilitators of human trafficking.
