He was produced in court on Tuesday. After that, the investigating officer of the case, SI Nazmul Hachan of Paltan Police Station applied for his 10-day remand. The lawyer for the accused filed a bail application seeking cancellation of his remand application. The state opposed bail and applied for maximum remand. After the hearing of both parties, Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Chanaullah granted his two-day remand.

Before this, he was arrested from his house in Dhaka on Monday (October 14) night.

According to the details of the case, on December 10, 2022, when leaders and activists from all over the country started gathering around the one-party demand movement program of BNP, the accused decided to disrupt the BNP rally. On December 7, 2022, 500/600 unidentified accused established a reign of terror in front of the BNP central office. The accused entered the BNP office and vandalized it. At that time, they lathi-charged and shot the activists in the BNP office. At this time, a BNP worker named Maqbool was injured. He died in the hospital while undergoing treatment. In this incident, a murder case was registered on September 30, 2024 at Paltan police station in the capital.
