Finally, the Board of Inter-Education released the new time table from September 11. After that the candidates demanded not to take the remaining exams. In the face of students' demands, the government announced the results through subject mapping without taking the exam.

GPA 5 increased by more than half a lakh as a result of subject mapping. However, this year's SSC and equivalent pass rate has slightly decreased compared to the previous year.

But that will not be a problem for students while taking higher education. Because wherever they get admission they will complete their admission process through admission test. The results published on Tuesday show that the average pass rate of 11 boards is 77.78 percent. This rate is 86 percent lower than last year.

An analysis of the results of the last five years shows that the pass rate has gradually declined every year since Autopass was declared 100% pass in 2020. In 2021, the exam is conducted on short syllabus, selected subjects. It naturally reduces the pass rate. 95.26 percent students passed the service.

The next year in 2022, the average pass rate dropped to 85.95 percent. Due to the increase in syllabus and exam subjects, the pass rate dropped further to 78.64 percent last year or in 2023. This year it further decreased by 86 percent.

However, despite the decrease in the pass rate, the number of GPA-5 recipients has increased more than before. A total of 1 lakh 45 thousand 911 people got GPA-5 this year. Last year 92 thousand 595 students got GPA-5. This means, the number of students who got GPA-5 this year is 53 thousand 316 more than last year.

Earlier, a record 1 lakh 89 thousand 169 candidates got GPA-5 in HSC and equivalent in the year 2021 after hundred percent Autopass. 1 lakh 76 thousand 282 people got GPA-5 in 2022.

Although the average pass rate this year is 77.78 percent, Madrasa Education Board is ahead in the pass rate of total 11 education boards. The pass rate in the Alim exam held under this board is 93.40. Next is the position of Bangladesh Technical Education Board.

The pass rate in HSC Vocational, BM, Diploma in Commerce examination under this board is 88.09 percent. And the pass rate is lowest in 9 general education boards. The average pass rate in these boards is 75.56 percent.
