Jumbangla Desk: Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus invited more US investment in Bangladesh, saying his government has taken various steps to attract foreign investment and improve the country's business environment.

"You have come to this country at the right time," he told a US business delegation in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Accelerate Energy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and US-Bangladesh Business Council Chairman Steven Kobos led the US business delegation today at the Rashtriya Guest House Yamuna Chief Advisor Prof. Dr. Muhammad met with Yunus.

Hailing the chief adviser for taking over the leadership of the interim government, Steven Kobos said it would boost business confidence in Bangladesh.

He said, 'Since your assumption of responsibility, the interest of American companies in Bangladesh has increased a lot.'

Cobos also said that leading US companies, including members of the US-Bangladesh Business Council, are very interested in business opportunities in this South Asian country.

Cobos, CEO of Accelerate Energy, said his company plans to invest more in Bangladesh's energy sector and reduce carbon emissions.

There were 50 members of the organization present, including some of the leading American multinational companies. Dr. Yunus invited the present American businessmen to invest in Bangladesh.
