Jumbangla Desk: At least 5 people were seriously injured in a clash between two groups of BNP in Panchbb of Jaipurhat over the spread of dominance. The injured are undergoing treatment in different hospitals. The clash took place on Tuesday (15 October) evening in Danezpur area of ​​Panchbibi town. Later there were allegations of vandalism of upazila BNP party office and several motorcycles.

The injured are Zulfikar Ali Bhutt (55), Mahin (28), Sohag (23), Ariful Islam (28). All of them are from Dalim's side and Deepan (35) is from Shamim's side.

According to the police and locals, on the night of October 14, Panchbb BNP leader Harun alias Deepan was beaten up by Dalim's people. As Deepan's condition is critical, he has been sent to Bogra Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital. Today at around 5:30 PM, Saiful Islam Dalim and his followers and activists sat in the paddy field of Municipal BNP Joint Convener Ziaul Ferdous Wright. As a result of this incident, a clash took place in the evening between PanchBB Upazila BNP president Saiful Islam Dalim and former organizing secretary of District Chhatra Dal and leader Shamim Hossain Mondal, who was expelled for breaking party discipline. At least 5 people were seriously injured.

On receiving the information, police and army reached the spot and brought the situation under control. However, since this incident, there has been tension in the area. Police are deployed to control the law and order situation in the area. The injured were rescued and admitted to PanchBB Mohipur Upazila Health Complex and Joypurhat General Hospital.

Officer-in-charge of PanchBB police station OC Kawsar Ali said that 5 people were injured in the clash between Dalim and Shamim groups of upazila BNP based on the spread of dominance. Apart from this, furniture, chairs and some motorcycles of BNP's party office were vandalized. The case is being prepared in this case.
