Jumba Bangla Desk: Abul Hashem Bhuiyan, president of Paikura Union BNP of Kendua Upazila of Netrokona, was expelled from the party after the products of Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) including rice, pulses and oil were seized by the joint forces. The union committee was also dissolved by BNP due to human ties due to this incident. Kendua Upazila BNP President Zainal Abedin confirmed this information on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, October 3, Abul Hashem Bhuiyan was arrested on the charge of storing TCB products in his home with the intention of embezzling them.

On that day, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kendua Police Station Mizanur Rahman informed that BNP leader Abul Hashem Bhuiyan illegally stored TCB products including rice, dal-oil in his house under influence. 180 kg of TCB rice, 70 kg of lentils and 72 liters of soybean oil were seized from his house. A case has been filed against him in the police station.

The next day on October 4, Abul Hashem Bhuiyan was dismissed from the party and the senior vice-president of Union BNP, Abul Salam, was made acting president. Due to this, the leaders and workers of Paikura Union BNP and allied organizations held a human chain program under the banner of Union BNP on the road in front of Barla Government Primary School on October 9.
