Lifestyle Desk: Eyes are a precious blessing given by Almighty God. In various verses of the Qur'an, it is promoted as a means of guidance, acceptance of faith, advice and education. In verse 8 of Surah Balad, Almighty Allah says, 'Have I not given you eyes?' It is everyone's responsibility to take care of this priceless blessing of Almighty God. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) used to take care of his eyes. He regularly used Surma on his eyes.

death

It should be noted that many people believe that Surma Tur is found in the hills. When Hazrat Musa (A.S.) wanted to see Allah with his own eyes on the mountain of Tur, the mountain was burnt in the glory of Allah. Surma originated and used from that burnt mountain. This is a complete misconception.
Antimony is a mineral. It has nothing to do with Tur Pahar. In the language of science it is called antimony. Antimony is an elemental substance. It is a lustrous gray metal, found in nature mainly as the sulfide mineral stibnate. Antimony compounds have been known since ancient times and were used medicinally and cosmetically as a powder, often called the Arabic kajal.

Ibn Abbas (RA) also said, 'The Messenger (PBUH) had a surmadani. He applied Surma three times to the right eye and three times to the left eye every night (before going to bed).' (Sunanul Kubr Lil Imam Baihaqi, Hadith: 8516)

He attached so much importance to surma in eye care that he encouraged Sahaba Kiram to wear it. On the authority of Ibn Abbas (RA), he said, Rasulullah (SAW) said, Wear white cloth and shroud your dead with it; Because it is your best clothing. And the best Surma for you is 'Ismid' Surma; Because it improves eyesight and grows eyelashes. (Abu Dawud, Hadith: 3878)

Sins which cause manifold sins

Eyelids enhance human beauty. Not only beautifying, but also acts as a shield to protect our eyes from dust and wind. Eyelids also have an impact on communicating with others and understanding human facial expressions. According to a research report published in the journal The Royal Society Interface, the eyelids filter out tiny particles, infectious germs, and microorganisms in the air. The filtered air then helps to flow into the eye. Apart from this, the eyelids protect the eyeball from drying out by the liquid coating which consists of mucus, oil and water. As a result, the eyes are protected from dryness. So we should observe this Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) regarding eye care. It also brings the pleasure of Almighty Allah and protects the eyes.
