In a hadith about this sinfulness of people, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, 'Hell is surrounded by interesting activities and Paradise is surrounded by dull activities.' (Bukhari, Hadith: 2455)

In the eyes of Islam, there are a few major sins that give rise to many more sins. Some of the major sins are discussed below-
1. Lies: Lies are the father of many sins. Speech, work, job, etc., and in all classes and professions, falsehood is going on. Lying has become a fashion these days. And lies are the root of all sins.

It can be seen that a person who is used to lying, gets involved in many sins. Regarding the punishment of liars , the Qur'an says, 'There is a disease in their hearts, which Allah has increased. And for them is a painful punishment for what they lie.'
(Surah: Baqarah, verse: 10)

Narrated in the hadith, Abdullah Ibn Omar (RA) said, Rasulullah (SAW) said, 'When a slave tells a lie, (the angel) goes a mile away because of the stench of the lie.' (Tirmidhi, Hadith: 1972)

2. Eyesight: Eyesight or eyesight is an important deposit and immense blessing given by Allah. Gratitude for this blessing is to protect the eyes from forbidden things. Ignorance spreads sin. Horrible incidents like adultery and rape occur from bad luck. Rasulullah (s.a.w.) said in a hadith about the horrors of bad eyesight, 'Fornication and rape of the eyes are haram sight.' (Bukhari, Hadith: 6612)

3. Pride: Pride is the root of many sins. Pride leads to sins like hatred, revenge, etc. In the eyes of Islam, pride is a serious spiritual disease. Arrogance has a severe punishment in this world and the next. Allah says in the Holy Qur'an, 'And those who lie to Allah, you will see their faces black on the Day of Resurrection. Is not the abode of the arrogant in Hell?' (Surah: Jumar, verse: 60) The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, 'Whoever has a little pride in his heart, he will not be able to enter Paradise.' (Kanjul Ummal, Hadith: 7771)

Global public debt could reach a record $100 trillion

4. Excessive anger: Excessive anger gives rise to many sins. Anger leads to stubbornness, violence, revenge and murder. Islam enjoins people to control unnecessary and excessive anger. It is mentioned in the Holy Qur'an, 'Those who spend both in wealth and in poverty, who forgive faults despite being angry; Allah loves such people very much. (Surah: Ale Imran, verse: 134)
The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, 'That person is not a hero, who makes others suffer; Rather, he is the real hero, who can control himself when angry.' (Bukhari, Hadith: 6114)
