Jumbangla Desk: The general secretary of Tarabo BNP, Hafizur Rahman Pintu, has been arrested by joint forces in connection with the robbery of a truck full of sand by beating the driver in Rupganj of Narayanganj. He was arrested from Gandharbpur area of ​​Tarabo municipality of the upazila on Tuesday (October 15) morning. Hafizur Rahman Pintu is a resident of Gandhavpur area of ​​Tarabo municipality. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rupganj Police Station Liakat Ali confirmed the arrest.

OC said, 'Tarabo Municipal BNP general secretary Hafizur Rahman Pintu has been trying to create trouble in the work of water treatment project in Gandharbpur area of ​​Tarabo Municipality for quite some time . Akand Riyad Murshed, camp in charge of the project, submitted a written complaint to the joint forces. Based on the complaint, Hafizur Rahman was arrested and handed over to the police by the joint forces. A case has been filed in this incident. Arrested in the case, Hafizur Rahman was sent to prison through the court.

Akand Riyad Murshed, camp in-charge of the water treatment project, mentioned in the complaint that they are buying sand from Bhai Bhai Enterprises from Kanchan Nalpathar area for the construction work of the project. Drivers Sharif Sardar and Arman Mia were coming towards the project by loading sand from Nalpathar with two vehicles around 1 pm on September 23.

On reaching Gandharbpur Bhumukhi High School, Hafizur Rahman and his men stopped the two vehicles. When asked to know the reason, the two drivers were severely beaten. Later, they took Balu away with another vehicle. They also threatened that if they exaggerate more, they will cause major damage to the project. As a result, he made a written complaint to the joint forces.
