Jumbangla Desk: Commenting that Awami League's party day was imposed as a national day, Information and Broadcasting Advisor Nahid Islam said that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is definitely not the father of the nation.

Adviser Nahid made this comment in response to a question while talking to reporters at the secretariat on Wednesday (October 16).

Awami League made Bangabandhu controversial. Nahid Islam, when asked whether you consider him the 'father of the nation' or not, said that Awami League was in power as a fascist party. They were in power by disenfranchising people and by murdering them and killing them. So who called him the father of the nation, they declared any day as national day, it will not continue in new Bangladesh. We want to restructure Bangladesh. As a result we have to bring a new perspective to history.

Regarding the exclusion of March 7 from the list of national days, he said, March 7 is important, but not like a national day. Awami League has wasted many days.

Nahid said that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is definitely not the father of the nation. Many have roles, struggles in this terrain. History has many facets. Awami League denied Maulana Bhasani's contribution. So now it's time to remember everyone's role.

Stating that a national day is being established with priority on August 5, Nahid said, some day may be established as the importance of July coup. For now, a national day is being established with August 5 as the priority.

The information advisor said that many decisions have to be made in the new Bangladesh. Bureaucracy cannot be completely abolished. The administration is being overhauled. Complaints can be made against anyone. So the government is seriously investigating. The task of the interim government is to give importance to everyone's voice. The government is working with the support of the people.

Meanwhile, the interim government is canceling eight national days, including Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's death anniversary and National Mourning Day on August 15. This information was informed from the verified Facebook page of the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government today.
