Jumbangla Desk: The advisory council is going to approve the list of public holidays for 2025 by proposing five days for Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha and three days for Durga Puja.

A meeting of the Advisory Council is scheduled to be held on Thursday (October 16) at 11 a.m. at the Chief Advisor's office in Tejgaon.

At present there are three days for two Eids and one day off for Puja. Earlier too, it was proposed to extend the Eid holiday at various times.

According to related sources, the list of public holidays for 2025 will be approved in the meeting of the advisory council. Two Eid holidays are 5 days (Eid day and two days before and after), Puja holiday can be made for three days.

Also, the 15th August holiday may be cancelled.

On the other hand, the government is also considering declaring a general holiday on August 5.
