Most of the vegetables have to be bought - at an average of 100 rupees. There is not much difference in prices between the production area and the capital.

Same picture in Jessore market. Eggplant is being sold at Tk 100 to Tk 150 per kg. 350 taka per kg of green pepper, 250 taka per kg of tomatoes. The sellers claim that the price of vegetables has increased due to various reasons including floods.
The same quality brinjal has to be bought at 180 taka in the market of the capital. Where the price of one kg of coarse rice is 55 taka. Raw chilli 350 to 400 taka per kg.
