Quoting the Advisory Council, the post said, historical March 7, March 17 is the birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day, August 5 is the birth anniversary of Sheikh Hasina's brother Shaheed Captain Sheikh Kamal, August 8 is the birth anniversary of Sheikh Hasina's mother Bangmata Begum Fazilatunnessa Mujib, August 15 is Bangabandhu's birthday. Death anniversaries and national mourning days, Sheikh Hasina's younger brother Sheikh Russell Day on October 18, National Constitution Day on November 4 and Smart Bangladesh Day on December 12 are being cancelled.

It is known that on October 7, in a letter signed by the then Cabinet Secretary Mahbub Hossain, the concerned department was informed about this decision and instructed to take necessary measures in this regard.
