Entertainment Desk: Commenting that the party day was imposed as a national day, Information and Broadcasting Advisor Nahid Islam said, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is definitely not the father of the nation. Adviser Nahid made this comment in response to a question while talking to journalists at the secretariat today (October 16).

As soon as he heard such comments in the media, the legendary actor, director, producer and freedom fighter of Bangladeshi film Masud Parvez Sohail Rana gave his response.
He wrote on his verified Facebook account a little while ago, 'Brother Nahid, it is inappropriate for you to talk about countries and leaders of a time when you were not born. Don't make me call you ignorant.'
In the comment box of that post, Noona Afroz, famous stage drama actress and director, commented, 'How can 71, liberation war, Bangabandhu be erased by being born on this country's soil! Who are they really?'
In addition to Noona Afroz, the post received more than a hundred comments in a short period of time. While most agree with Sohail Rana's words, there are a few who disagree.
Incidentally, Awami League has made Bangabandhu controversial in today's press conference. Do you think he is the 'father of the nation'? Adviser Nahid Islam said, 'Awami League was in power as a fascist party. They were in power by disenfranchising people and by murdering them and killing them. So who called him the father of the nation, they declared any day as national day, it will not continue in new Bangladesh. We want to restructure Bangladesh. As a result, we have to bring a new perspective to history.'
Referring to the exclusion of March 7 from the list of national days, Nahid said, 'March 7 is important, but it should not be a national day. Awami League has wasted many days.'

Nahid said, "Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is certainly not the father of the nation. Many have roles, struggles in this terrain. History is multifaceted. Awami League denied Maulana Bhasani's contribution. So now is the time to remember everyone's role.'c
