Jumbangla Desk: A person named Shahnewaz alias Kallu (38) was killed in the firing at Geneva camp in Mohammadpur of the capital. He worked in a printing shop in Narayanganj.

On Wednesday (October 17) around 11:30 p.m., he was rescued in a bullet-ridden state and taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

A person named Samir from Geneva camp said that shootings and killings often occur in the camp between the two sides over drug trade. Top drug lords Bhuiyan Sohail group and drug lord Parmanu group started shooting at Geneva camp again on Wednesday night.

At that time, a youth named Shah Newaz Kallu was shot dead by Bhuiya Sohail group. Bhuiyan Sohail is currently the top drug dealer of the Geneva camp. Sohail, his brother Rana and Tuntun controlled the heroin trade of the entire camp area Although there are more than half a hundred cases against them, they remain out of the reach of the law and order forces.

He also said that Shah Newaz Kallu is the elder brother of Lalon, another drug dealer of Geneva camp. Lalon is a mid-level drug dealer in the Veneva camp. He also has several drug cases under his name. He is a trusted associate of another drug dealer Parmanu.

It is known that the deceased Shah Nawaz alias Kallu was the son of deceased Abu Bakr Siddique. He lived in Block 8 of Geneva Camp.

Mohammadpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge OC Ali Iftekhar Hasan said that a person named Kallu was shot dead in Geneva camp in the firing. Later, when he was taken to Dhaka Medical, the doctor declared him dead. But initially he could not say who or who shot.

He also said that in the evening I sent RAB and police to Geneva camp so that the situation is normal. You know that there are various kinds of misdemeanors inside this camp. A few days ago, we had a joint operation with the army. If the government does not take initiative, such incidents will continue to happen. They need to be socially rehabilitated. This issue needs to be brought to the attention of the government through you. We have done the biggest joint campaign here so far.

Incidentally, on the day of the fall of the government on August 5, the drug dealers of Geneva camp looted the armories of Mohammadpur and Adabar police stations. From that day on, they engaged in an internal war on drugs with that weapon in hand. One person was killed in the shooting on August 6. Two more died in September.

The MP rose in the 'night vote', then various misdemeanors started
