Jumbangla Desk: BGB has seized 1,560 kg of Indian cumin seeds and 700 kg of persimmon fruit in a raid in Madhavpur of Habiganj. The estimated market value of which is Tk 25 lakh 40 thousand.
BGB informed this information in a press release on Wednesday (October 16) night.
According to the notification, they were already active there on the basis of the news that a smuggler was passing through the Muktijudda Chattar area of the Dhaka-Sylhet highway of the upazila. The mini truck loaded with smuggled Indian goods was seized as soon as it reached Muktijudha Chattar. However, no one was arrested.
BGB also said that after the seizure of the goods, they have been submitted to the Habiganj District Customs Office.
